2002 Dodge 190 Popular. 44,000 miles, 5.2 liter V8, limited slip differential, third owner. Excellent condition; no dings or dents in sheet metal; runs great. Have used infrequently, thus reason for selling. Michelin tires date from 2015 and have approximately 8,000 miles on the tread. Tire protectors have covered sidewalls when not driven.
In addition to standard Roadtrek features and house components, this 190P also includes: Onan Microlite generator (430 hours, exercised regularly under load), Fedders house A/C, trailer hitch and rear-mounted spare tire, Fiamma awning and Fiamma Florida Room, inner screens on house side and rear windows, side door removeable bug screen, hygienic sink liner. Everything works.
Interior cabinetry is original; no wood has ever been painted over. Original seat upholstery, window curtains, and ceiling headliner are in excellent condition. We have used seat covers since purchasing to minimize wear on the original seat upholstery. Floor carpets in aisle show wear. There is also a carpeted dashboard top protector. Fresh, black and gray water holding tanks are in excellent condition; no leaks or cracks, never damaged, and gate valves work normally. All electrical system components work and both engine and house batteries charge normally.
All manuals that came with the Roadtrek when new are included, as well as a four-volume set of Diamler Chrysler factory service manuals for the 2002 RAM Van 3500 Wagon, and a Haynes service manual.
Improvements made since I acquired the Roadtrek in 2014:
Replaced original Thetford toilet with a new Thetford Aquamagic V (2014).
Replaced original Dometic 2353 three-way refrigerator with a new Dometic 2354 three-way refrigerator (2018).
Added a motor controller to the original Fan-tastic rooftop vent fan. This enables it to operate either as an exhaust fan (as it came standard), or as an intake fan. Both modes operate at fully variable speed settings instead of the original 3-speed format (2020).
Installed three new CL Laurence rooftop windows sourced from Mobilife RV. The original CL Laurence glass “Three Little Windows” are also included as spares, plus an additional used lower-side CL Laurence window included as a spare (2021).
Replaced the front and rear shock absorbers with Bilstein shocks (2021).
Added an Oxygenics water-saving inside shower head, a lighter-weight shower curtain (original included), and a new porchlight lens (2023).
Replaced interior house lights and headlamps with LED bulbs. Original incandescent bulbs included as spares.
Side crank-out glass CL Laurence frameless windows were professionally re-glued at the hinges after they became loose (a common problem with that style of window). They open and close normally (2018).
Installed a sliding cabinet-mounted bracket for the included VIZIO 19” flat screen TV, enabling viewing from the back or front of the Roadtrek. A separate DVD player is included.
Other interior additions include an added 3”x27”x74” upholstered foam cushion that sits atop the existing original foam cushion mattress on the driver’s side rear of the van. This provides added comfort if desired when sleeping (2023).
Built a removable wood platform that fits into the base of the third passenger seat frame when the third seat and seat back cushion are removed. This provides a level, flat surface that enables a lightweight three-drawer plastic cabinet (or other items) to be placed on top to provide extra storage space on longer trips in place of the third seat. The original third seat is included and no tools are required to change between the third seat and the platform.
Bypass valves on the water heater and a bypass winterizing valve at the house water pump, allow for quick winterizing with minimal use of antifreeze. The 2002 Roadtrek was manufactured with PEX plumbing lines.
The original owner purchased this Roadtrek new in Virginia, and it has been based in Virginia ever since. The unibody and the front frame horns that connect to the front bumper and are designed to absorb energy in the event of a collision are in excellent overall condition.
Also included are an ADCO cover, a new, still-in-box front chrome bumper purchased as a spare in case of future need. There is also an aftermarket smoke-gray plastic bug shield/hood guard, which I removed when the hood was professionally repainted (2023) due to some peeling. Also included are a set of two new-in-box rear wheel spacers that I never installed, as the van is quite stable at highway speeds.
