Many people are surprised to learn that Springfield, Missouri is the Birthplace of Route 66, the 'Mother Road'.

The focus of this rally will be tracing the history behind the founding of Route 66 as well as visiting other Springfield highlights you might have missed on your way to Branson!

The Route 66 related points of interest we will visit include:

The newly opened History Museum historymuseumonthesquare.org

A professionally guided bus tour of Route 66 sites, and the Route 66 Car Museum 66carmuseum.com.

The Springfield highlights we will visit include:

The Museum of Wildlife and National Aquarium wondersofwildlife.org at Bass Pro Shop (the original Bass Pro Shop and most visited Missouri tourist attraction)

Wilsons Creek Battlefield nps.gov (the first Civil War battle in Missouri) and the award winning Askinosie Chocolate Factory askinosie.com (named one of Forbes 25 Best Small Companies in America).

Camping 4 nights (need 50 amp adapters)

Pot-luck dinner first evening and guest speaker, 4 continental breakfasts, 2 days bus transportation, 1 lunch at Bass Pro Shop Hemingways Restaurant, 1 catered dinner at on site Boot Daddy Grill

Roadtrek with 2 persons $410

Each additional person $145
