Region 4 Awesome Autumn VI - Lake City/Erie, Pennsylvania
October 4 thru 8, 2018
The list of things to do is literally endless: visit Presque Isle State Park, the Erie Zoo & Botanical Gardens, Waldameer Water World, Lake Erie Maritime Museum, pumpkin farms & Presque Isle Casino; bike; fish; kayak & boat; shop; golf; attend sporting events; drive the winery trail to 25 distinct wineries that span PA & NY along the southern shores of Lake Erie. With aprx. 14,000 acres of grapes, PA ranks 4th nationally in grapes grown & 8th in wine production; visit breweries & sample award-winning beers along the Lake Erie Ale Trail; take a fall foliage ride on PA's famous US Route 6 or the Great Lakes Seaway Trail, a National Scenic Byway.
Most of the time will be spent pursuing your own interests, but Thursday we'll meet for a potluck dinner (meat provided); Friday we'll take a tour of the Tom Ridge Environmental Center & view a 50-minute movie. That nite we'll return to the campground for a catered dinner. For Saturday & Sunday suppers, we'll eat at different local restaurants (pay on your own). Breakfasts & lunches are also on your own.
