May 15-18, 2018
**Limit- 55 attendees due to bus capacity**
Come visit New York and experience the historic Hudson Valley. Our Rally starts at the Interlake RV Park in Rhinebeck, NY. The Hudson Valley is so rich in American history, with an abundance of things to do and see.
On Wednesday, there will be a bus trip to nearby Hyde Park. While there, we will take a tour of the Culinary Institute of America, followed by a three course luncheon in the beautiful dining room overlooking the Hudson River. In the afternoon, we will visit the Home of Franklin D Roosevelt National Historic Site. (Be sure to remember your National Park senior pass.)
On Thursday, you can explore the area. You might want to visit the longest elevated pedestrian bridge in the world. It’s called “The Walkway Over the Hudson State Historic Park”. Formerly a railroad bridge, it’s 1.28 miles long, and the friendliest park in New York State. You can walk, bike, or hike with spectacular views of the Hudson River flowing 212 feet below.
Other places of interest include the Aerodome; the Eleanor Roosevelt National Historic site; The Vanderbilt Mansion National Historic Site; or the charming town of Rhinebeck where you can see America’s oldest continuously operated inn, built in 1766.
There will be social hours, entertainment, continental breakfasts, games, campfires, and a hot dog roast with s’mores. (No pot lucks)
